The latest trailer for Amazing Spider-Man 2 gave us an extended look at the Spider-Man villain Electro with some implications that maybe, just maybe, Max Dillon is a tad bit obsessed with the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
These photos could suggest the dynamic that might play out between Max Dillon and Spider-Man.
- Socially awkward evil corporation employee idolizes hero and wants to impress them.
- Socially awkward evil corporation employee gets caught in freak accident that leads them to become a socially awkward evil corporation employee with unstable superpowers.
- New super-villain is born when their idol embarrasses them due to a misunderstanding.
We also get treated to some more photos of Electro making a scene in Time Square. Talk about being over-dramatic. But that’s not all; Sony was kind enough to also include photos of Harry Osborn’s Green Goblin-like character whose role in the plot is still unknown, and photos of the new Rhino suit which isn’t much of a Rhino suit at all.
Speaking of the villains, has anyone noticed the fact that the one thing that all of them have in common is OsCorp? Well, this intrepid investigative reporter did. This can only mean one thing – OsCorp must be a really safety hazardous workplace if it’s just spewing out super-powered maniacs left and right. I for one am going to get to the bottom of this and expose OsCorp’s criminal workplace safety standards.
But in the real world, this definitely seems to be setting up many of these villains to be under the relative control or manipulation of Norman Osborn, who in the comics, is known for being the puppet master in the shadows pulling all the strings.
