Spoiler alert: Go no further if you don’t want spoilers for Captain America: The Winter Soldier or for Agents of SH.I.E.L.D.

The day we have all been waiting for has finally arrived – the day when we watch an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode and not have to wait until the end of a studio-wide holiday or something stupider like the Olympics.

No, next week ABC and Marvel are going to spoil us – they are taking us out for ice cream with fudge and sprinkles and strawberry sauce with toppings.

On April 15thAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans will be treated to an encore showing of this week’s episode “Turn, Turn, Turn” (because it’s that awesome apparently), in addition to next week’s official episode “Providence”.

As you may know, comics journalism went crazy trying to figure out what will happen to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. after the shocking events at the end of Captain America: the Winter Soldier that saw S.H.I.E.L.D.’s top operatives leave the organization to go off on their own but also, more importantly, revealed that S.H.I.E.L.D. has actually been infiltrated by HYDRA for decades.

S.H.I.E.L.D. is not what people thought it was and now it’s all starting to make sense.

The official description for “Providence” finds “Colonel Glenn Talbot on the trail of Coulson and his team, who seek refuge in the last place anyone would look, where they begin to uncover S.H.I.E.L.D.’s most dangerous secrets – secrets that could destroy them all.”

Check out the preview for next week’s episode below.
