Manama: In light of the possibility of expats being banned from working, MP’s said that expats can still go to clubs and bars to spend their days.
“We do not want expats in Bahrain to be bored,” said MP Khalid Ali. “So even though they may not be able to work or drive, they can still go to clubs or bars to enjoy their day there.”
The new law, which was green lit earlier this week has become extremely controversial, leading many expatriates and local Bahrainis alike to question what they will do with their free time.
Critics say that clubs will not offer enough services for the entire expat population even if people can’t drive to and from the nightclubs.
“They would better go while they still can, though,” said the MP. “I hear they’re trying to ban alcohol, too.”
